The Finnish-Japanese indie games publisher Toko Midori Games and Vaasa-based (Finland) indie games developer Platonic Partnership, are today very excited and happy to announce that the full version (v1.0) of their first-person bullet-hell shooter “Bone Dust“, is now available for PC via Steam.

This electrifying, first-person bullet-hell shooter is the brainchild of Finnish developer Platonic Partnership, and it’s mind-boggling art style is guaranteed to leave players captivated.

Bone Dust invites players to battle nightmarish circus-inspired foes with rapid-fire playing cards, all while evading a relentless barrage of projectiles. Set within an expansive corridor like arena, players must confront terrifying waves of bullets and conquer the challenges ahead.

Fans of Devil Daggers will revel in the adrenaline-pumping gameplay Bone Dust delivers. Jussi Loukiainen, co-founder of Platonic Partnership, added,

“We’re beyond excited to launch Bone Dust and see how players embrace our one-of-a-kind visuals and exhilarating gameplay. We’re also exploring novel ways to monetize gaming by drawing inspiration from arcade machines and their paid leaderboards.”

“So while the game is free for all to download on Steam, the leaderboard runs in the game will require a token to be deposited before the run starts. This is essentially the same monetization from the arcades of the 80’s, but now done in a digital setting” said Toko Midori, the artist behind the Publisher Brand.

The business model is a variation of free-to-play, that prefers to go by pay-to-brag, as it better describes this digital form of social flaunting. A set of 10 tokens costs $/€ 2, so less than a quarter ($0.25) per run.
