FWsim was first released in 2010 as a fireworks display planning software, aimed at pyrotechnic professionals and fireworks enthusiasts. FWsim is engineered for professionals but designed to be user-friendly for anyone to enjoy. The software is used by real fireworks companies in 40 countries to plan their shows. ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
FWsim was created by Lukas Trötzmüller. He wanted to create his own fireworks shows, but was unable to find a realistic simulation software. So he started developing it himself, with the help of experienced pyrotechnicians and fireworks enthusiasts. That’s how the first version of FWsim was created in 2010. Since then, thousands of fireworks enthusiasts and professionals have adopted it as their favorite creative tool. When he’s not working on FWsim, Lukas enjoys playing music and lifting weights.

Marcus Athmer joined the team in 2020. He is working on fireworks designs and marketing. On weekends he works as a DJ for weddings and festivals, and also employs fireworks at some of these events.
