The Edinburgh-based (Scotland) indie games publisher Firestoke and Dunedin-based (New Zealand) indie games developer Usual Suspects Studios, are today very proud and glad to announce that the full version (v1.0) of their low-life simulation/action/RPG “It’s Only Money“, is now available for PC via Steam with a 30% launch discount!

It’s Only Money sees you take on the role of an Undercity resident, cast down by the newly elected evil mayor into the sewers and subways. Your goal is to venture to the surface, along, or with up to three other players via online co-op, to steal, fight, destroy and, ultimately, take down the corporations owned by the Mayor’s corrupt cohorts.

Win back the city block by block as you buy houses, businesses, clothes and cars. Every house you buy brings more people back from the Undercity to the surface, allowing you to customise their living spaces for gameplay buffs and unique items. Invest in properties like the landlord you’ve always wanted to be. Become the 1%, profit off the land and contribute nothing to society! Concentration of wealth? Sounds like a poor people problem.

Rockhaven is your playground. Pickpocket the wealthy, steal cars for a wild joyride, or jack a UFO and take it for a spin! Test your combat skills with new moves available at the Dojo, or take on the Mayor’s inner circle in epic Takeover missions, including boss fights against his lieutenants. Join with up to 3 other friends (or randoms) to steal together, fight together, complete missions together or just hang out in a club and gamble.

Enjoying rave reviews on Steam during its Early Access phase, It’s Only Money has steadily been adding new features like epic ‘Takeover’ missions, minimum-wage-earning side-hustles minigames and Metro Dungeon – a roguelite combat experience. With the 1.0 release, It’s Only Money gets even better, with the addition of expanded player upgrades, new missions, enhanced vehicle systems. Usual Suspects was founded in 2020 by Aaron Alexander & Jayde Cohen. They had no ambition to run a real company, but very quickly found investment and other opportunities after they had quickly developed an open world prototype in Unreal Engine.
