The Oslo-based (Norway) indie games developer Games People Play today announced with great excitement and delight that the full version of their multiplayer social deduction game “Killer in the Cabin“, is now available for PC via Steam for $4.99 / $3.99 / €3.99.

“What started off as a father-son bonding project and a love letter to social deduction games has evolved into the fully fledged game, Killer in the Cabin, and we couldn’t be happier” said Jack Kristoffersen, Lead developer at Games People Play.

“Thank you to the community who, during the development process, provided us with invaluable feedback to optimize the game. It’s a somewhat sadistic pleasure to know that players can now murder each other in the most fun yet safest way possible.”

In Killer in the Cabin, play as a member of a group of survivors from a bus crash in the desolate Norwegian mountains, where in order to survive you must work and communicate together in order to gather supplies, discover shelter and share food as you wait for help to arrive. Stick together and you’ll make it out alive, but danger looms.

In each match of Killer in the Cabin, one killer is chosen who must eliminate every other party member while avoiding detection. If allocated as the killer, use the sandbox environment to get creative as you terminate your fellow survivors.

When the party begins to suspect who the killer is, they can vote and kill the elected suspect, whether they are guilty of the crimes or not. With 15 minute long game sessions and multiplayer play with up to 8 players, Killer in the Cabin puts players’ communication, deception and truth-telling skills to the ultimate test.

After multiple updates adding dynamic new features including the highly-requested server browser system, the ability to play with AI bots and the use of text chat, Killer in the Cabin is now ready for a new wave of players to survive in the harsh conditions of the blissful Norwegian wilderness while the threat of a murderous impostor looms.
