Team 17 and Wonderscope Games have today launched creative community sim “Hokko Life” on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

After a year spent in Steam Early Access the town is now fully ready to receive new residents! Hokko Life invites players to their new home in Hokko, with welcoming townsfolk to befriend, minigames to play, fish and bugs to catch, an intricate design tool to craft new objects and patterns, unique locations to explore, and a whole town to customise and cultivate; there’s something to do from the second the train pulls into town and players take their first steps.

Throughout its time in Steam Early Access, Hokko Life has received regular updates including new content and gameplay mechanics, new areas, new villagers, and quality of life changes.

From today’s launch, version 1.0 will be available across all platforms, and includes a new desert island location, the addition of archaeology, three new design tool materials, new tropical and ocean fish to catch, new tropical butterflies, a new community designed villager called Ramesh, and a whole host of extra content for players to explore. Get creative: The workshop awaits! Players take control over every aspect of Hokko, with the 3D design tool, every aspect of a player’s creation can be tailored to perfection
Dare to design: No detail is too small, everything from the colour, fabric, and angle of the pillow on a chair can be edited
Sharing is caring: Players will be able to share their meticulously crafted designs with friends and other players around the world
Back of the net: A lazy afternoon in Hokko can be spent with a net or pole in hand, catching and collecting the critters crawling around town
Meet the neighbours: Hokko’s townsfolk offer a warm welcome, and with varying personalities, they all make for fantastic friends.
