The Tallinn-based (Estonia) indie games developer Chaosmonger Studio are today very happy and proud to announce that their futuristic investigative adventure “Soul Tolerance“, is now available for PC via Steam.

The studio, which also developed the acclaimed game ENCODYA and recently released Three Minutes To Eight, has been working on the successfully crowdfunded title for two years.

The story follows Unit-12, a robot detective, who must hunt down clues in the futuristic city of Sapporo to uncover an illegal sentience. Set in a futuristic neon voxel world, the gameplay revolves around classic open-world rpg exploration, with puzzle solving elements and extensive in-game dialogue to uncover whilst interrogating a host of local robots.

WHAT THE DEVELOPER SAYS:
At its heart, we want to tell a story about our relationship with technology, how it helps and harms us, unites and divides us, and about how it is intrinsically linked to the way we perceive ourselves and our place in the world. We’re a tiny team, and we’ve overcome a slew of triumphs and challenges over the past couple of years to bring this game to you. Really, we’re just getting started as we have a 5 part series planned for Soul Tolerance.

Will technology be your saviour, or tormentor. Either way, we hope you enjoy playing Soul Tolerance with us.

STORYLINE
Dive into a neon-noir Hokkaido, in a future where all the humans are dead and an omniscient AI entity rules the world. As Unit-12, the robot detective, it is up to you to chase down an illegal consciousness, and uncover the mysteries of Soul Tolerance, the self-awareness threshold which no intelligence is allowed to surpass.
Your journey will take you from high-tech cyber-temples to the sultry red-light district and dark-web black dealings as you do anything to ensure you crack the case and uncover who dared commit the crime of consciousness and break Soul Tolerance.

Soul Tolerance is here today, December 11, 2023, for PC (Windows, MacOS, Linux, SteamDeck) at the price of $9.99 and with a launch discount of -10%. While a console version (Switch, PlayStation, Xbox) is expected for Q2 2024.
