Crown of Hispania rebuilds the Iberian Peninsula at a scale the genre rarely attempts: more than 300 hand-built provinces, each mapped to the region’s real terrain rather than sketched onto a thin global map. The grand strategy game from four-person developer studio, Regalis Studio, is available today in Early Access on Steam.

You play a noble of the 11th century, when the peninsula was divided between Christian kingdoms in the north and rival Muslim taifas in the south, and nobody agreed on who should hold the middle. Ground can be taken by war or secured through alliance, marriage and political manoeuvring. Both are viable paths through a campaign. The populations within your realm convert, migrate and react to how you rule, making religious tension a condition to manage rather than a problem to solve once. Your court carries its own politics, and your Council issues missions of its own.

Free army movement: Move armies across the map without province restrictions, enabling real flanking and positioning.

Regalis Studio is direct about what Early Access covers: economy, country management, technology, court and land warfare are fully designed and in at launch, while cultural and religious systems are, by the studio’s own admission, basic for now and set to be reworked after launch alongside AI improvements shaped by player feedback.
