Watch the SPINE Release Window Announcement Trailer here:
SPINE is a single-player cinematic action game where close-quarters gunfights meet Gun Fu combat. Play as Redline, a rebellious street artist equipped with Spine – a sentient combat implant with a mind of its own – and fight through a cyberpunk city ruled by an autocratic AI regime.
SPINE’s new trailer offers a first look at Judge – Tensor City’s supreme leader – along with Tensor’s Children, Edda Kopp and Malady, equipped with Spines of their own. The new trailer also showcases SPINE’s directional attacks, parry and dodge system, environmental attacks and a number of the game’s bosses, as well as a variety of new environments, from tangled underground laboratories to the vast cliffs of the City’s Greenhouse, and a fight atop a high-speed train.
About SPINE:
In Tensor City – a technocratic megacity built by an AI so humanity could survive the ecological collapse of the world outside — your value is a number. The Social Rating decides who eats, who works, and who gets thrown away, splitting the city between the gleaming New City above and the rotting Old City below. Redline, a rebel street artist, scrapes by in the slums, until a mafia heist goes wrong and costs her everything – including her brother.
Step into a stunning cyberpunk world with rebellious street artist Redline and her sentient combat implant Spine as they defy the autocratic AI regime in search of Redline’s captured brother.
SPINE features Freeflow Gun Fu combat, with camerawork and combat choreography by action movie stunt specialists. It is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Nekki’s original animation engine, Cascadeur, making players the star of their own action movie where no two fights are the same.
SPINE features:
Movie-Like Experience – SPINE puts players inside the action with a dynamic combat camera that makes every fight feel like a movie, without ever stealing control from players.
Innovative Combat – A thrilling fusion of cinematic gunplay and Freeflow Gun Fu beat ’em up. Dive into the chaos of SPINE’s combat, where every move is a dance between gunfire and raw, close-quarter bullet mayhem. It’s not just a game; it’s an artistic canvas for your own style of destruction.
Unrivaled Atmosphere – Dive into an action-packed narrative set against the backdrop of a captivating cyberpunk world. Explore the contrast between the gleaming, utopian facades and the gritty, decaying alleyways, as each location becomes a stage for adrenaline-fueled gunfights.
Gripping Narrative – Embark on a gritty journey into the near-future with Redline, a rebellious street artist, and her AI companion, Spine — a combat implant with a mind of its own. Together, they stand against an oppressive AI regime, and every fight they have sends ripples through the streets they navigate, changing the lives of the people they meet.
SPINE is coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. Keep up to date with SPINE on the official website, Discord, X, Tiktok, and Facebook. For those interested in the game’s universe, Nekki publishes a webtoon comic “SPINE: Bullet Dancers” that lets fans dive into the world of SPINE before the game is released.
