Press release:
17th February 2023.
The Sydney-based (Australia) indie games developer Pat Naoum today announced with great delight and excitement that a brand-new demo is now available for his upcoming hand-painted puzzle adventure “The Master’s Pupil” (the said demo is out right now for PC via Steam).
That’s right! Because after four years of development, The Master’s Pupil is now ready for players to try!
By visiting the game’s Discord Server, players will be able to access the game’s latest demo – experiencing the opening stages of the game as they set on a journey to help Claude Monet complete his masterworks.
The Master’s Pupil is a hand painted puzzle-adventure story set in the eye of 19th century impressionist Claude Monet. You will journey with him throughout the many challenges and difficulties he faced in his life. Amongst these challenges, the player must face down the cataracts that threatened Claude Monet’s eyesight during the latter half of his life.
The spectacular appearance of The Master’s Pupil and its clever soundscape play a major role in telling the story of Claude Monet. As there is no written or spoken language in the game, The Master’s Pupil is not a typical biography. Instead, sound, music, and visual elements come together to channel the various aspects of Monet’s life through to the player.
With over 80 challenging puzzles involving physics, colour mixing, and timing, The Master’s Pupil is sure to captivate the player as they complete each section of the game – constantly rewarding them with unique artwork as well as fragments of Claude Monet’s most famous masterpieces.
Speaking about the demo launch, solo developer Pat Naoum said: “I’m proud of this demo, it’s not just a section of the game, but gives a great example of the game as a whole. I’m so excited for people to get their hands on it”.
