The UK-based indie games publisher Brain Seal Ltd. today announced with great delight that their The HeroQuest-inspired dungeon crawler ‘Dark Quest 4’, is coming to PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch) on November 5th, 2025.

Following its successful demo during Steam Next Fest, the game returns with its most ambitious adventure yet. A bold, imaginative mix of turn-based tactics, heroic storytelling and tabletop-inspired gameplay that evokes the magic of classic board games like Hero Quest, Descent and Dungeon Saga.

Experience a world where every quest unfolds like a living board game. Build your party of heroes, master turn-based tactical combat and challenge the evil sorcerer’s puppet, Gulak, who commands monstrous legions in his campaign of darkness.

Dark Quest 4 features over 30 handcrafted quests, 40 unique monsters and 10 playable heroes, all brought to life with hand-painted visuals and a fully voiced Dungeon Master who narrates every adventure with wit and menace.

Beyond its campaign, Dark Quest 4 offers a deep Creator Mode, allowing players to design their own dungeons, quests and full campaigns and share them with the world through Steam Workshop.

Team up with up to three players in online or local co-op to take on handcrafted adventures, or test your creativity by becoming the Dungeon Master yourself.
