Press release:
June 5, 2024, Spain.
The Asturias-based (Spain) indie games developer Meteorbyte Studios and indie games publisher Combat Time, are today very proud and happy to announce that they have just released the very first demo for their upcoming historical strategy game “Songs of Steel: Hispania” (the said demo is available right now for PC via Steam).

The echoes of the legendary Numantine War, a historical conflict that defined Hispania’s destiny, resound stronger than ever. The first demo of “Songs of Steel: Hispania” is now available for all those players who want to experience this epic confrontation that put the powerful Roman Republic against the indomitable Celtiberian peoples of the Iberian Peninsula during two decades of intense and unforgettable fighting.

This demo includes the first three chapters of the Roman campaign, allowing players to immerse themselves in the artistic and narrative aspects of the game while testing their strategic skill with authentic Roman units and tactics. It should be mentioned that in the final game you can enjoy both campaigns, both Roman and Celtiberian.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that “Songs of Steel: Hispania” will take part in the upcoming June Steam Next Fest. During this event, aside from the already mentioned public demo, the development team will do two livestreams, in which they will talk about the development process of the game. These streamings will focus on the historical accuracy and the real aspects that have been fundamental to the creation of “Songs of Steel: Hispania”, as well as the tactical aspects, interesting facts and anecdotes.

We invite all fans of strategy video games and history to join us on this exciting journey, both at the Steam Next Fest and at the final stretch of the development of “Songs of Steel: Hispania”.

These include both their own games, as well as assistance and publishing of titles for other developers. It also specializes in porting services from PC to all the popular console platforms, as well as Android and iOS.

About Combat Time
Combat Time was born in 2015 with the aim of producing video games linked to historical events. His first release in the sector was the turn-based strategy video game “Numantia”. Being aware that the title could have more potential and travel, and with the experience gained in these years, they decided to completely redesign it, creating what we currently know as “Songs of Steel: Hispania”, together with the Meteorbyte studio. This video game, much more ambitious and complete, inaugurates the “Songs of Steel” saga, which will address military conflicts in which siege is a common denominator.
