Press release:
Madrid, 11th of July of 2024.
The Asturias-based (Spain) indie games developer Meteorbyte Studios and indie games publisher Combat Time, are today very proud and happy to announce that their historical strategy game “Songs of Steel: Hispania”, is now available for PC via Steam.

“Summer, the chosen time of the year for the biggest battles of history, is here. Avoiding the harsh conditions of the cold Winter, armies start marching to fight at their borders; to conquer new territories or to defend their homeland. It’s the perfect time to announce that the turn-based historical strategy videogame “Songs of Steel: Hispania” is now available on Steam.

Developed by the Asturian team Meteorbyte Studios and produced and published by the Sorian team Combat Time, both studios are proud to bring the not very well-known at the international level, but immensely relevant, War of Numantia closer to everyone around the world through a game.”Meteorbyte Studios and Combat Time

The game features full translations of the texts and voices in Spanish and English, as well as texts and subtitles in German, since the name of Numantia is bound to the historian and archaeologist Adolf Schulten. With his book “History of Numantia” (1913) where he writes about his investigations in the ruins of the celtiberian city, Schulten was a huge help in the research and international spreading of the Numantian myth.

With a launch discount of 20%, “Songs of Steel: Hispania” offers the possibility to enjoy its campaigns from both sides of the conflict, leading the Roman legions or fighting for the survival of the celtiberian people of Numantia.

We invite all enthusiasts of strategy videogames and history to join us in this exciting journey.

About Meteorbyte
Meteorbyte is a videogame studio based in Asturias, Spain. Since its establishment in 2016, it has participated in the development and launch of multiple games. These include both their own games, as well as assistance and publishing of titles for other developers. It also specializes in porting services from PC to all the popular console platforms, as well as Android and iOS.

About Combat Time
Combat Time was born in 2015 with the aim of producing video games linked to historical events. His first release in the sector was the turn-based strategy video game “Numantia”. Being aware that the title could have more potential and travel, and with the experience gained in these years, they decided to completely redesign it, creating what we currently know as “Songs of Steel: Hispania”, together with the Meteorbyte studio. This video game, much more ambitious and complete, inaugurates the “Songs of Steel” saga, which will address military conflicts in which siege is a common denominator.
