Spirit Stone Studio are today very happy to announce their debut game, “Cloak and Dasher“, a fast-paced 2D platformer which will be released on February 25th for PC via Steam Early Access.

Breaking into ancient ruins, finding treasures on your way out, getting rich. Sounds like a piece of cake – if it weren’t for the deadly traps and these blasted recovery drones trying to get there before you!

But you are not the average tomb-explorer – you are Cloak the Infiltaker, a true legend! Well, a future legend, at least. Or a potential legend. Tale. Whatever. Let’s focus on surviving the next jump, shall we?

Spirit Stone Studio announces today its debut game, Cloak and Dasher, an insanely fast 2D platformer that will be released on Steam Early Access on February 25th for $9.99 / €8.19 / £7.19.

Cloak and Dasher is a flip-screen platformer: you don’t have to navigate through long levels but to find the way to reach the end of each screen, a way out that can be reached in seconds… if you are fast and skilled enough! Deadly traps, pits and robots will stand in your way, and to get past them you only have your super jumps, air dashes — and your own cunning.

A game that offers a challenge that adapts to every players’ abilities: it will make speedrunners and hardcore platformers happy — but newcomers will be able to hone their skills with their carefully handcrafted levels!

Spirit Stone Studio is an American-based indie studio. After a whole life of gaming, meddling with game design and even streaming indie games, its founder Kevin Randino decided to merge his two passions: gaming and coding! With the help of the artist Yokcos and sound designer Will Savino, he founded Spirit Stone Studio to develop games that are as straightforward as devilishly fun: accessible to everyone, yet challenging to those who look for something more.

Cloak and Dasher is their first game and follows this philosophy to the core. Cloak and Dasher started its life as a 1-month project by Kevin. In a month, he created a game called Escape Hero and threw it online for people to play for free.

After getting a great reception from players, he decided to take the game and evolve it into something more fun. Now, over a year later, Cloak and Dasher will be released as Spirit Stone Studio’s first full game!
