Press release:
The Austin-based (Texas, the US) indie games publisher Devolver Digital and Paris-based (France) indie games developer Pastagames, today announced with great delight and excitement that their joyful co-op platformer “KarmaZoo“, is coming to PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch) on November 14th, 2023.

To spread the love even further, a multiplayer demo will be available during Steam Next Fest, beginning October 9! Pre-order the game on Steam and you’ll be rewarded with a 25% discount, too. That’s Karma, baby!

“KarmaZoo” is a game about helping people, working together, and finding bliss in cooperation — especially when things go wrong. Make meaningful connections with randomly selected players online as you all strive to earn the most precious resource of all: Karma.

Together with up to 10 new friends you’ll tackle a series of increasingly challenging levels that adapt to the size of your team, the characters you play and the perks you pick together. No two runs are quite the same when the players and the game itself are changing!

Stick together, use your character’s strengths, and even sacrifice yourself for the greater good to help your teammates overcome KarmaZoo’s chaotic challenges. Every good thing you do, one way or another, earns you the sweet Karma you’ll use to unlock new characters and abilities for future Loops.

Whether you’re new to games or a seasoned veteran, you’ll find a community reaching for a common goal. Available in 22 languages, cross-platform play between PC and console, and private lobbies to play exclusively with friends, we invite all of you to the KarmaZoo!

About Pastagames:
Pastagames is a small video game company based in Paris, France.

Our core-team is composed of 3 founding partners, who have been working together for more than 15 years:
Fabien, the jack-of-all-trades; Fabrice, the itchy-trigger-finger-coder;
Nadim, the maker-of-games.

Linguini is a partner like no other, he’s our in-house 2D & 3D game engine. Highly versatile and portable, he allows us to swiftly target new platforms.

Many great folks have joined and left the team through the years. Kudos to Camille, the colour-fiddler, Julien, the finger-coder and to Sophie-Anne “may her name be carved in stone” who protects us from horrible paper cuts. Xavier and Nico are valiantly singing the tales of Pastagames in this day and age!
