BRISTOL, UK – January 24, 2019 – The lore-filled, shoot-em-up RPG “Beyond the Veil” will release for Steam in Q2 2019, developer Incubator Creations announced today.

In a godless world, players must explore the madness-filled wasteland, to discover what happened to the gods before and find their purpose is in this world.

Beyond the Veil features a challenging, harsh world with no forgiveness for the Wanderer, a protagonist exploring the tombs of the gods to find secrets of the Five Kingdoms of the Gods.

Along the way, players must be crafty with resources to gather food, water, weapons, and more to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.

“My first goal when developing Beyond the Veil was to create a project that goes beyond a classic top-down shooter and add a game with fresh mechanics and incredible lore,” said Sam West, Founder of Incubator Creations.

“The finished product became a well-rounded blend of bullet shooter, RPG, and mysterious mythological existentialism that makes for an immersive narrative I know all fans will appreciate.”

The world is brutal, and its inhabitants no less so. Through the game, players encounter procedurally generated maps of untouched and dangerous ruins where bloody battles will be fought against man, beast, and nightmares. Players can increase character attributes, passive abilities, and weapon selection through timed trials, challenges, story progression.

A Rich Story – Explore the narrative of Beyond the Veil, uncover what happened to the gods, and why you are here. Find others in the wasteland to help you, and listen to their stories.
Procedural Maps – Discover the secrets of the five kingdoms of the gods. Procedural maps make each playthrough unique, presenting different advantages and challenges as you explore. From rain and fog to lightning storms and hurricanes, the dynamic weather system can upset even the best-made plans.
RPG Mechanics – Develop characters as you see fit. Take on trials to increase their stats or give them powerful passive abilities. Equip a plethora of different weapons, accessories, and inscriptions to give you an edge in combat.
Top Down Combat – Fight hordes of enemies in real-time, bloody combat. Use weapons, skills, and the environment to your advantage to survive. Movement and awareness are key to survival, but fleeing is always an option when things get too tough.
