The independent European publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment and Barcelona-based (Spain) indie games developer Troglobytes Games, are today very excited and glad to announce that their Lovecraftian survival/base-building action game “RailGods of Hysterra”, is now available for PC via Steam Early Access for $19.99, with a 10% introductory offer available for a limited time.

RailGods of Hysterra is a Lovecraftian online co-op survival action game where up to 5 players build a mobile base on a living, sentient train known as the RailGod. It offers deep crafting, base-building, and progression systems — all set against a dark, atmospheric backdrop.

What’s New in Early Access

Main Quests – Now tied more closely to crafting, building, and combat systems.
Dark Gifts – Unlocked through a deeper loop involving Sacrifices and other mechanics.
Improved Ranged Combat – Better targeting, projectile behavior, and responsiveness.
Inventory Filters & Optimization – Faster, cleaner inventory and storage management.
Polished Combat Feedback – Updated VFX, animations, and hit reactions.
Madness Level Gameplay – New strategic elements linked to Madness progression.
Connected Chests – Access all storage across the train from any location.
Corrupted RailGod Gameplay – New boss fight and unique corrupted interactions.
Craft & Build from Anywhere – Use resources from all train containers and inventory.

Roadmap and Future Updates
RailGods of Hysterra’s journey is just beginning. The team has already mapped out major content expansions for the coming months:

The Shadow Over Innsmouth (ETA June–July): New area, zones, enemies, RailGod carriages, Obelisk Challenge mechanic, building system rework, quest system updates, and wider character options.

The Dunwich Horror (ETA August–September): New area, zones, enemies, a boss fight, new RailGod carriages, Dungeoneering mechanics, expanded Obelisk Challenges, and wider character customization.

Future Updates: Additional zones, bosses, enemies, a fishing mechanic, new Obelisk challenges, and more will continue to expand the game before full launch.

RailGods of Hysterra launches in Steam Early Access today, May 7, 2025, with a PlayStation 5 release planned for a later date.
