The Las Vegas-based (Nevada, the US) indie games developer ALX Theory (Alex Sutherland) are today very happy and excited to announce that their melee extraction looter “Swordai“, is soon coming to PC via Steam.

Begin Your Climb

Swordai is a challenging extraction dungeon crawler where players battle through a tower filled with traps, treasure, and treachery. Your time in the tower is limited as you fight past a variety of hand-crafted dungeons in a race to claim what is yours and make it out alive. Stave off the impending “final fury” debuff that will end your run by progressing further through the tower. Clash with monsters, bosses, and other competing swordsmen, all the while finding loot unique to each region. The clock is ticking, so forge ahead and find white portals to escape with your loot with seconds to spare or press your luck in a red portal, launching you further into the tower. Band together or slay those who stand in your way, and pray you escape with your hard-earned loot.

High Fidelity Swordplay

Master your swordplay through Swordai’s fast-paced directional combat system and hone your skill in ripostes, feints, parries, kicks, and combos. Progress through various trials and challenges to unlock skills and abilities for your customizable loadout and test your ability in battle against monsters and opposing swordsmen. Collect Essence, an in-game currency, that may be exchanged for additional abilities, improved weaponry, and other in-game boons. Whether you’re playing with friends or fighting solo, the game’s massive multiplayer dungeons provide a challenge for everyone.

Gameplay Features:

Compete in massive, multiplayer dungeons with up to 50 total players while traversing sprawling tower floors filled with monsters, bosses, traps, treasure, and rival players.
High risk, high reward gameplay that pushes players to determine if they should escape while they can or risk it all and dive deeper for better loot.
An easy-to-learn yet difficult-to-master directional combat system provides a fluid yet brutal combat experience filled with an elaborate moveset of feints, kicks, parries, and more.
Cut down bosses, discover loot, or kill other players within the tower, then find an exit portal to escape with everything in hand.
Unlock powerful abilities and upgrades as you progress, proving your skill as the ultimate swordsman.
