4 APRIL 2019 – Indie developer SPECTRUM48 is pleased to announce that its award-nominated, minimalist audiovisual puzzler, “OCO“, is out now for iOS, and will be coming to Android on Friday 12th April.

OCO is a one-touch puzzle-platformer, hand-crafted to produce a unique audiovisual experience. With a striking aesthetic and inventive circular platforming, OCO celebrates minimalist game design, intuitive interactions, and engaging puzzle-solving.

The game also features a built-in editor, allowing players to create and share their own designs, and explore hundreds of user-generated levels in the game’s community.

OCO was a finalist in the Very Big Indie Pitch at Pocket Gamer Connects 2017, and runner-up at the Big Indie Pitch at Develop:Brighton 2018.

For Philip Sinclair, OCO’s designer and founder of SPECTRUM48, minimalism and clarity were at the heart of the game’s design.

Sinclair said:
“I wanted to create something which was beautiful, accessible, yet deep and challenging – something that everyone could easily understand from the start, but had the complexity, variety and quality to keep them playing.”

He added:
“I’m very excited to see how the players engage with the creative side of OCO and the online community – whether it be to test friends with extreme challenges, create simple mind-bending puzzles, generate original music, or produce beautiful autonomous drawings.”

OCO is out now for iOS, and will release for Android next Friday, the 12th April. The game is free to play.
