The Walnut Creek-based (California, the US) indie games publisher Maximum Games and Shanghai-based (China) indie games developer Magic Fish Studio, today announced with great thrill and delight that their narrative-driven horror adventure game “In Nightmare” is now available for the PS5 and PS4 via PSN.

Today’s launch was accompanied by a new trailer that proves that, no, the shadowy woman speeding toward you through the darkness is not your friend:

In Nightmare follows a young boy who closes himself off from everything and falls into a deep slumber, where nightmares have come to life to haunt his every move. Heartbroken about his family’s troubles, the child escapes reality into a dark, whimsical world created from his own memories.

This sets him on his journey to uncover what truly lies within. With the help of his dream spirit, the boy will find ways to sneak past enemies, overcome intricate puzzles, embrace his fears, and uncover the truth so that he may be able to purify the monsters he has created, and finally wake up.
