Japanese videogame company, Happinet, announced that a free demo for “Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia” will be available worldwide on the PlayStation® Store when the game launches on December 10, 2020.

The demo will launch with a free day 1 patch “Titans and the Iron Front” that will introduce new features, improve player experience and fix minor bugs. This major update is currently live on the Nintendo Switch™ system version of the game and will be included on the PS4™ system at launch. Additionally, all purchases of the PS4™ system version will receive an exclusive, free dynamic theme.

The Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia PS4™ system demo will feature two modes to select from. The training mode offers players a tutorial on troop movement, invading bases and combat, while the Trial mode allows the player to take on the role of the Brigandine of Justice, ruler of the Norzaleo Kingdom in Easy mode. The demo ends when the player’s army reaches up to 10 seasons or when 7 bases have been occupied by the army. However, the demo can be replayed for players to try different strategies and scenarios each time (game progress or save data made in the demo will not transfer over to the full game).

The demo will launch alongside free new content in a Day 1 patch “Titans and the Iron Front” that will introduce new features, improve player experience and fix minor bugs. This major update is currently live on the Nintendo Switch version of the game and will be included on the PS4™ system when it launches on December 10.

Major updates include:

Custom Difficulty Mode ‒ Players can personalize their gaming experience to play their way by selecting custom difficulty for enemy AI, playtime and EXP gain options
New High-Level Monsters: Players will now encounter or have the chance to recruit the Titans’ brute strength and Shadow Goblins’ confusing attacks in armies
Flexible Playability: A new user interface, various menu adjustments and added functions making conquest over Runersia more strategic than ever

20 years since the first Brigandine game launched on the original PlayStation®, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is a classic returning to the PlayStation as a new turn-based strategy game created for modern gaming platforms and set in a familiar fantasy world primed for players to conquer. The PS4™ system version of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is currently in development by developer Matrix Software and will be published by Happinet digitally on the PlayStation®Store December 10 for $49.99/ €49.99. The game will be playable on The PlayStation®5. This title is rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB and has a PEGI 7 rating in Europe. The Nintendo Switch version released on June 25 and is available on the Nintendo eShop for $49.99/ €49.99.
