Seattle, Washington – August 7th, 2019 – Hot off the press: Unbound Creations’ acclaimed news editor sim “Headliner: NoviNews” is coming to Nintendo Switch in Summer 2019.

Cast in the role of a “Headliner”, you operate as the chief editor of the country’s largest news publication. Acting as the voice of the publication, you must decide what stories to run, meet your quotas, keep your audience engaged, and make enough money to keep food in the dog bowl.

Controversy equals clicks, and with the world in conflict, it’s up to you to cultivate the country’s culture through the court of public opinion.

Much of Headliner: NoviNews is set behind your desk, but every night ends with your custom made avatar walking home, observing how the stories you ran influenced the public. Which politicians will they support?

Will a riot break out? How will you report on said riot? With geopolitical tensions at an all-time high, it’s never an easy decision being the Headliner!

“Headliner: NoviNews tackles one of today’s most pertinent issues: the mass distribution of information” said Unbound Creations founder and director Jakub Kasztalski.

“We’re constantly being fed conflicting realities and ‘alternative facts’ that are making it increasingly hard for us to make sense of the world around us. I wanted to make a game that explores the difficulties in uniting a nation in a world where skepticism and bias have left us increasingly distrustful of everything we hear.”

Headliner: NoviNews recently won the “Best Overall Game” of Intel Buzz Seattle, 2018, was a finalist for Best Action & Adventure Game at the 2018 TIGA Awards, and it was part of the Official Selection at PAX West 2018’s Indie Mega Booth and the same year’s Seattle Indies Expo.

Interview opportunities are available with the game’s creator – Jakub “Koobazaur” Kasztalski, a Polish expat who majored in “comparative ethnic conflict” before travelling the world to places like Japan, Italy, and Ireland, studying regional conflicts.

Kasztalski would be more than happy to discuss the game, its mechanics, and how his background in studying ethnic conflict and media has informed his decisions in the making of Headliner: NoviNews.
