“NeverAwake“, the twin-stick shoot’em up set in the world of a young girl’s horrifying dreams from developer Neotro Inc and publisher Phoenixx, rouses Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 today.

After a successful PC launch “NeverAwake” received numerous awards, including the Tokyo Game Show 2022 First Selection designation, the Vermilion Gate Grand Prize at Japan’s most prestigious indie game event, BitSummit, and ranked as one of the top 40 best-reviewed PC games out of the 12,000 plus titles released on Steam in 2022 with an 84 Metacritic score.

Dive deep into the mind of Rem, a schoolgirl trapped in the frightening fantasy of her dreams. Fight through Rem’s vivid imagination and face absurd manifestations of childhood’s biggest fears: the dentist, vegetables, dogs, conflict at school, and other adolescent troubles.

Blast and dodge through a never-ending nightmare including more than 80 levels in an abstract, hand-drawn bullet hell, and overcome her phobias manifesting as dozens of bosses. Wield an arsenal of surreal weaponry and equip upgrades and accessories to create unbelievable attack patterns.

In lockstep with the latest Steam update, “NeverAwake” arrives on consoles with the newest 1.1 content update featuring the secret HIMITSU CHALLENGE available to all players who have cleared world 8, plus six new out-of-this-world accessories. Dreamers on Switch, PS4 and PS5 will enjoy general optimizations, bug fixes, and performance improvements alongside various gameplay balance adjustments.

“NeverAwake” is available on PC and Steam Deck via Steam for $19.99, and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 for $24.99 with support for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language text. The emotional “Nightmare World Art” digital artbook is also for sale on Steam for $7.99 and the “NeverAwake” soundtrack for $7.99. A bundle with the game, artbook, and soundtrack is available for a 22% discount.
