— Sept 1, 2020 — Indie Game studio VRKiwi has released a normal PC and PlayStation version of their last year’s VR mining hit game Cave Digger. The game is now available on Steam and PlayStation stores.

“Throughout the times of Cave Digger VR, we have had a lot of people asking about making the game available to flat screens so we listened to those requests and decided to do it”, says Jani Kaipainen, the producer of VRKiwi.

“We really enjoyed making the VR version of Cave Digger with the help of our cool community and, seeing that it succeeded fairly well, we wanted to expand it. There are more platforms for Cave Digger to come in the future so for this news, as well as for future content updates, stay tuned into our social media channels or even come join our cool Discord community, the atmosphere there is chatty and laid-back.”

About the studio
VRKiwi is the game studio of MeKiwi Ltd, a full-stack digital agency based in Oulu, Finland. Their first game title, the alternative western VR mining adventure game named Cave Digger, was released on Steam in 2018.

Initially a rocky start, Cave Digger evolved through community feedback and talented developers into a well-received title, culminating at the release on Oculus Quest in late 2019 with huge ‘Railway into the Depths’ expansion to all existing platforms (Steam, Oculus Rift, PSVR) then to PC / Flat Screen version has ben released on August 2020.
