Kajaani, Finland, August 21st, 2017 – The Northern Game Summit will host the fourth qualifying round for Season 2 of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest. When the Nordic Game Discovery Contest debuted last year with a qualifying round at the Northern Game Summit, Finnish developer Team Ocmo participated and won a seat in the finals at NG17 in Malmö. Here they did a splendid job on stage of the live pitch competition and came out on the very top as “NGDC Game of the Year”.

With this in mind, it is a great pleasure to announce that the contest is coming to Northern Game Summit again. The qualifying round of this season’s contest will take place as part of NGS on 5 October 2017, in Kajaani, Finland. The winner earns a place in the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Finals at next year’s Nordic Game Conference, 23-25 May 2018.

“It’s great to have the Nordic Game Discovery Contest back as part of NGS this year. Last year we had very skilled participants at the contest and in the end, one of ours came on top. The winning team will get their game visible at one of the biggest game conferences in Nordic region, Nordic Game, which is why I highly recommend joining! Let’s make this year even more epic. Northern Game Summit
The Northern Game Summit (NGS) is a game conference and an annual networking event for the game development trade and associated industries.
