The UK-based indie games publisher PQube, Chile-based indie games developer Dual Effect and Digital Works are today super excited and happy to announce that their old-school-like survival horror game “Tormented Souls” is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in early 2022.

“We will also be releasing multiple free updates to the game later this month, including a new outfit for Caroline, a new weapon and a full soundtrack available only on Steam!” – PQube

The latest Tormented Souls trailer gives players a taste of the abominations that lay within the mansion of Winterlake –

In the next free update, we will release a brand new outfit for Caroline to wear while exploring the depths of Winterlake! Her new casual look is the perfect get-up for defeating the grotesque monsters of the mansion!

Want a bit more firepower? The new heavily modified nailgun may prove to be your new favourite weapon as you shoot your way through the halls. As a reward when you complete the game for the first time, head back to Winterlake this Halloween and see what we have created! Download the free update to receive both the casual outfit and new weapon on October 28th!

Accompanying the digital version of the game, Tormented Souls is also available as a physical release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch!

Return to Winterlake Mansion this Halloween and re-experience the terrors of Tormented Souls. Led to the small, isolated town of Winterlake, something terrible happens to Caroline Walker. Waking in the dead of night, naked and alone, hooked up to decrepit medical equipment, Caroline must fight for her life as she explores the halls of the abandoned mansion.

As the previous inhabitants run amok, you must scavenge essential resources and tools to decipher clues and create a variety of weapons to protect yourself from the darkness within.
