SAN DIEGO – October 4, 2017 – Scarlet Moon Records is thrilled to release the soundtrack to OMEGA STRIKE, an action-packed metroidvania title developed by Woblyware. Featuring music by chiptune artist Ken “coda” Snyder, the OMEGA STRIKE soundtrack draws heavy inspiration from the Game Boy Advance era with retro-flavored rock and electronic music perfect for running and gunning through Dr. Omega’s dastardly bases and installations. The OMEGA STRIKE Original Sound Version is available now wherever digital music is sold:

“It was a great experience working with coda as he is an extremely talented composer,” comments OMEGA STRIKE developer Lauri Paakinaho. “coda’s work helped bringing the audio of OMEGA STRIKE to a new level.”

“I’m a huge fan of classic run ‘n’ gun and metroidvania games,” notes coda. “For the soundtrack, I was specifically inspired by the Game Boy Advance sound from games like Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, as well as the Nintendo DS Castlevania games, and the atmospheric arrangements of SNES and PSX classics like Super Metroid and Metal Gear Solid.”

He has contributed remixes to the official soundtracks of UNDERTALE, Mighty Switch Force 1 & 2, and to remix albums for Fez and Duke Nukem 3D.
