IndieGala, an independent publisher, has announced that the new open alpha v.0.3.1 of “Vorax“, a first-person open-world survival horror, is now available on Steam and IndieGala.

VORAX takes place on a Mediterranean island where a mystery illness has afflicted the locals. Discover the virus’s origins and the horrifying, evolving consequences it has on its hosts.

The new open alpha v.0.3.1 features the chainsaw, which can clear out an entire forest in a jiffy. You will need space in your inventory and strength to carry it with enough fuel in your tank.

Apart from cutting wood, the chainsaw can be used as a weapon to fight against the hordes of enemies you may encounter.

The new open alpha v.0.3.1 also contains electrical puzzles in which you have to mount fuses with the right parts to illuminate entire buildings, dark hallways or sewer sections.
