Press release:
Rome, Italy –August 16, 2023.
Independent publisher IndieGala has announced that the full playable open alpha of “Vorax“, the survival horror game coming to Steam in 2024, will premiere at Gamescom.
This open alpha will be 8 times bigger and will include 8 times more content than the current demo available on Steam. It will actually contain an area of 8 km2 with more enemies, bigger monsters and cool features like driving a car.
Attendants at the Gamescom will be able to play the open alpha of Vorax in the booth located at the entertainment area in hall 10.1 booth B-093.
Journalists and other influencers may book a spot to play it either in the entertainment area or in the business area at hall 02.1 stand A-0007.
Everyone who acquired Vorax at IndieGala.com will get the full playable open alpha shown at Gamescom soon.
In parallel to that, the demo on Steam released back in October last year will also be updated today.
However, it will be restricted to the same 1km2 area and it will only contain new weapons, more tools to craft, different enemies and additional caves to explore.
Vorax is an open-world survival horror set on a Mediterranean island infested with a mysterious pathogen that has spread among the locals, featuring a detailed environment, varied enemies, tactical gear, crafting, hunting, and dynamic weather, challenging players to endure the lurking horrors.
As a quarantine mission goes awry, an army battalion sent to contain the outbreak loses contact within 48 hours. With limited resources and a basic survival kit, you’ll confront survival hurdles through tool crafting, defense building, and uncovering the virus’s dark origins and its gruesome effects.
