Press release:
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. – Sept. 11, 2024
The Sherman Oaks-based (California, the US) indie games publisher Joystick Ventures and Spaind-based indie games developer Kraken Empire, are today very happy and excited to announce that the full version (v1.0) of their family-friendly, physics-based RTS game “Toy Tactics”, is coming to consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S. Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch) via digital stores in Q4 2024.
At the end of Q4 2024, after launching an assault on PC via Steam on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, it’s coming to consoles to continue the intense and massive duels now with the new online multiplayer mode.
With its playful graphics and humorous style, you may underestimate Toy Tactics’ degree of challenge for each and every “brilliant tactician” out there. Defend an endless series of lands, utilize environments to attack your enemies, and lead armies with different abilities. Further amplify troops with relics, spells, and blessings for an additional strategic layer, and put your knowledge of historical strategies to the test across multiple game modes. Oh, and let’s not forget Sun Tzu, your conquering advisor on the art of war.
Toy Tactics may look like the joyful act of smashing action figures together, and it is, but with physics behind it. Now, with the arrival of the online multiplayer mode, team up with friends in co-op mode to face massive battles, or become enemies in 1v1 mode.
Kraken Empire is a Spain-based development studio with more than a decade of experience that focuses on game creation across a multitude of avenues and exploring newfound territory in technology. Previous projects like the free-roaming shooter Kromaia, and educational applications like Hi Score Science (created alongside the third-largest research council in Europe) are proof of these efforts.
