The Washington-based (the US) indie games developer Ocelot Technologies totday announced with great joy and thrill that their pixel-based tactical RPG “Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds“, is coming to PC via Steam on August 8th, 2024.

The game, which balances tactical turn-based gameplay and extensive player and companion customization, had a successful Steam NextFest outing in February that generated a high amount of positive player feedback. Players can wishlist the game here.

“Our feedback from Steam NextFest was incredibly positive, but there were a few areas where players had great ideas to expand the game,” said Yasser Saleem, Chief Technology Officer.

“We’re going to implement some of the major requests – including romance, which was the biggest ask from our fans. We’ve worked incredibly hard to make Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds an amazing and immersive RPG, which is why we won’t launch until it’s 100% ready to go.”

The team will also be adding the following:

Advanced party splitting and battle interactions that give parties more ways to face battles.
Romance dialogue and romantic outcomes that add a new layer to the story.
NPC AI will also be improved to allow for more intelligent positioning and decision making.
The Magic-based skills will be reconfigured to balance wand and staff weapon damage.
Additional maps and content to give adventurers more to explore.
Dozens of new skills and hundreds of new items.

Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds offers players an immersive RPG experience that pays homage to classic RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics and EverQuest. Set in the fantastical realm of Aarde, players are tasked with exploring a rich and dynamic open world. As a newly enlisted member of the Heroes Guild, players will embark on a mission to enable passage to an uncharted continent. They’ll quickly find themselves ensnared in a web of intrigue, conspiracy, and battles that may decide the fate of the world.
