The US-based indie games publisher Skystone Games and indie games developer/publisher Vanimals, are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just kicked-off a special Halloween-themed event for their popular zombie survival game “Undying” (the game is available right now via Early Access for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store).

With well over 100K Wishlists on Steam, streamed by the likes of Lirik, XoP0, and more, this special Halloween-themed event also marks the first update of many in UNDYING’s development roadmap. UNDYING is taking part in Steam’s annual Halloween Sale as well!

Locations throughout the game world are now festooned with various Halloween-themed decorations. Players may also stumble across various zombies that have themselves gotten into the spirit of the season. There’s even a special hidden achievement that will reward players with a permanent Pumpkin Head Lamp to decorate Anling’s and Cody’s house.

In addition to the festive nature of this update, Vanimals has also added a new ending to the current iteration of UNDYING, which can only be seen when the exact right items and objectives are completed. Cody’s AI has now seen some updates as well, and he will react more naturally when he witnesses combat against the living members of UNDYING’s population. The UI for Cody’s skills has been improved, and various other bugs and quality of life improvements have been made.

About UNDYING
UNDYING tells the story of a mother trying to train her son in survival as the zombie infection overtakes her. In their final days together, the two must fight, scavenge supplies, and craft enough tools to get Cody safely to a new life. All the while building their last bonds as mother and son.

Undying mixes the survival genre with a full narrative story in a unique story of family. Through skills, crafting, and fighting back zombies, you need to reach safety before Anling’s infection takes over. Mixed with visions of the past and dark dreams, Anling must pass on a mother’s knowledge to her son and give him a future in the darkness.

Game features:
Unique skill system which combines Anling’s actions with Cody’s ability to survive.
Ranged and melee combat against zombies as a mother and son team. The more you fight, the more Cody finds his strength.
Crafting and salvaging enough gear to make the journey through dozens of maps.
A deep narrative of strength and hope within the apocalypse.

Undying is now in Early Access for Steam and Epic Games Store. The full launch version will be available on Nintendo Switch, XBOX and PlayStation, Android, and iOS in 2022.
