Press release:
December 10th, 2024.
The Hunt Valley-based (Maryland, the US) indie games publisher and developer MicroProse Software and Bucharest-based (Romania) indie games developer White Pond Games, are today very proud and thrilled to announce that their post-apocalyptic survival/strategy/RPG “Urban Strife”, is now available for PC via Steam Early Access.
Urban Strife immerses players in a gritty, chaotic world where survival demands hard choices, sharp tactics and a willingness to fight for the future. Set in the conflicted, faction-run city of Urban, the game delivers a deeply involving narrative, tense combat and rich crafting systems begging for ‘one more turn’.
Experience real bullet ballistics, a realistic day/night cycle, dynamic fire mechanics and advanced sound and smoke propagation as you fight to survive one more day. NPCs live independent lives shaped by faction-based morals, and survival mechanics include hunger, wounds, and sickness.
As Early Access progresses, players can look forward to major plot twists and advanced modding support, enabling the community to expand and evolve the apocalypse.
Survive the Apocalypse Your Way
Rescued from the brink of death after a car crash, you awaken in Urban Shelter, a crumbling haven in the heart of the southern United States. As a massive zombie horde barrels down from Atlanta, it’s up to you to rally the survivors, rebuild the shelter and navigate a fractured world. Choose your allies carefully, as your decisions will shape not just your survival but the fate of those around you.
“Urban Strife combines the best of turn-based combat, survival mechanics and RPG storytelling into a single unforgettable experience,” said Chris Ansell, CMO of MicroProse. “With today’s Early Access launch, players can step into this dangerous world and help shape its evolution as we bring new features and refinements to life”
