Press release:
20 MAY 2021.
Today Fluxscopic, in partnership with tinyBuild, are excited to launch “Mayhem in Single Valley“, a story-led, secret filled action-adventure, with a brand new release trailer.
Now out for PC via Steam, Mayhem in Single Valley follows the misadventures of Jack, a young wannabe artist who’s just been accepted to his dream art college. As he prepares to leave the quiet hometown he’s grown up in, he glances from his childhood treehouse to find – someone pouring radioactive goo into the town reservoir?!
Jack is then tied up in a whirlwind adventure as a strange apocalypse begins to break down reality in Single Valley! Players will embark on an unpredictable journey filled with a sharp, diverse range of puzzles, alongside tense platforming and Jack’s knack for collecting and crafting strange tools along the way.
Calling all fans of the action-adventure genre, or players that look for fun-loving, humour-driven storytelling – it’s time to book a trip to Single Valley today!
Creator and lead designer, Brian Cullen, said:
“Mayhem in Single Valley was inspired by the idea of merging everyday issues with a fantasy action adventure, with design touchstones of Toe Jam and Earl and Zelda: A Link to the Past.”
“Mayhem in Single Valley is a hybridized love letter to my gaming past with more modern design sensibilities thrown in for good measure.
“I’m really looking forward to watching players messing about with all the interacting systems we have created, experiencing the weird twists in the plot, and meeting all of the quirky characters in the town of Single Valley itself.”
Mayhem in Single Valley is out now on Steam, with a 10% launch discount and a free demo available. It is also available via GOG and the Epic Games Store.
