“WRATH: Aeon of Ruin“, the dark fantasy horror FPS inspired by the original Quake from publishers Fulqrum Publishing and 3D Realms, and developers KillPixel Games and Slipgate Ironworks, leaves a trail of blood as it launches on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch digital storefronts today. Expect physical versions of the console editions in late May 2024.

WRATH’s console launch includes all content from the 1.0 PC release, with a riveting story spanning three episodes, each capped off by an epic boss battle, an arsenal of nine deadly weapons, three powerup-granting Sigils and ten storable Artifacts, and throngs of monstrous enemies.

Emerge from the ruins of The Old World and embark on a bloodthirsty mission as the Outlander. Heed the Shepherd of Wayward Souls’ call to eliminate the remaining Guardians of the Old World, those responsible for the calamitous state of the realm. Take them to task, leaving a blazing trail of death and destruction along the way.

Blast through hordes of 15 distinct enemy types with a double-barreled shotgun, or use the Ruination Blade to slice a path forward. Crank up the intensity with biological weapons turning foe’s teeth and cysts into lethal projectiles. WRATH’s combat skillfully melds fast-paced action with aggressive gameplay for a modern take on retro first-person shooters.

WRATH’s post-apocalyptic world consists of 15 maps across three distinct hubs. Trek through ancient crypts, decaying ruins, and haunting forests. Comb every inch of each area, uncovering various secrets and items to aid in survival. Stockpile deadly armaments and unleash hell on the onslaught of adversaries lurking behind every corner.

Dive into the next old-school, pulse-pounding FPS from the minds of veteran QUAKE engine developers. Rip through the levels of this gory boomer shooter and unravel a twisted narrative to the backdrop of a heavy metal soundtrack courtesy of Andrew Hulshult (Quake Champions, Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Prodeus).
