The St Petersburg-based (Florida, the US) indie games developer Captilight Games, today announced with great thrill and happiness that their relaxing puzzle exploration game “Path of Kami: Journey Begins“, is now available for PC (Windows & Linux) via Steam.

The game will support English, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Korean and Russian.

Path of Kami is a thoughtful game about life, death, and family. Play as Kazeyo, a Japanese wolf on a journey to ascend to the spirit world. A harsh winter takes Kazeyo’s life, but the gods have offered him the chance to join their ranks—if he can reach the peak of the spirit world.

Players will set off on an adventure with their ghostly companion Wisp across a breathtakingly handcrafted watercolor world inspired by ancient Japan. Solve puzzles and discover secrets with creative uses of Kazeyo’s spirit fire powers.

Journey Begins contains the beginning of Kazeyo’s journey as he starts in his adventure to ascend to the spirit world. Players can visit six areas within the mortal realm, and get a first-ever sneak peek at the spirit world.
