The Lasne-based (Belgium) indie games developer Dercetech SRL are today very happy and proud to announce that their retro-like arcade RPG “Blackthorn Winter“, is coming to PC via Steam this summer (2024).

Indie game development studio Dercetech SRL will be launching Blackthorn Winter, an arcade RPG, on Steam in summer 2024. The first playable beta was just released on Steam, and early testers can give feedback via the built-in form and win a key when the full game goes live!

In addition, a crowdfunding campaign was just published on Kickstarter and will be starting soon. The three highest backer rewards will involve designing monsters and up to 2 new character classes, along with a mug for hot coffee in the cold dungeon and a printed hoodie to defeat winter.

Enter the world of Blackthorn Winter, where Slavic myths come alive amidst shattered ice and cursed lands, challenging brave warriors to break Morena’s chains, restore the seasons, and unravel mysteries alongside comrades in arms.

In a land cloaked in shadows, peril awaits at every turn as you navigate dungeons haunted by the insidious Lurker, prompting swift but cautious action, shaping a tale thick with tension as you choose from four classes to embark on your adventure.

Collaborate with allies to overcome challenges and confront Morena, with Elementals wielding elemental might, the Huntress excelling in precision and risk, Summoners mastering dark arts, and Wardens defending with selfless dedication.

Conquering the ever-changing challenges requires the bravery of adventurers who must test their wits and resolve in a battle against darkness, aiming to restore balance and break the icy grip of Morena’s curse.
