The indie games developer Strelka Games and video game publisher Yonder Publishing are today very excited and proud to announce that their rogue-like farming shooter “Hell Is Others” (which set in a city where blood and bullets are currency) is coming to PC via Steam Early Access in 2021.

You’ll play as Adam Smithson, a man with little memory as to how he’s come to be in a place called Century City. Upon waking up, he realises a Magnolia Bonsai has been placed in his apartment but has no idea as to how it got there.

Noticing the plant requires nurturing, you must journey out into the city; but with only a short time until curfew, you must act hastily to ensure you get what you need.

To add to the tense nature of Hell Is Others, while adventuring around the city you’ll encounter The Things; an enemy of unknown origin and other players (known as The Others) on the same journey, and whether you leave these players be or fight them to gain their supplies is up to you, but if you’re not back home within the limited time window, you’ll be committed to the ground to become what you really need, Blood.

During the tense, multiplayer driven cycles of survival exploration, you’ll be required to use all of Adams senses to finally make it home, from his impeccable sense of sound to detect where enemies may be, to his heightened sense of sight.

Blood in Hell Is Others is a currency that has not only the means to outfit your apartment with the most wanted items, but also feeds the plants in your collection so they grow into full blown bullet machines. Each plant will grow a certain type of bullet which can be used either to defend yourself from The Others (or other players), or be used as a currency in itself with certain vendors.

Hell Is Others launches on Steam Early Access for in 2021. As part of the Early Access launch, Strelka and Yonder will frequently update the title with further updates until its full launch. Details of this can be found on https://store.steampowered.com/app/964440/Hell_is_Others/
