PQube and developer Playstark are today very happy and pleased to announce that they have just released the third Early Access update for their rogue-lite shooter “Die After Sunset” (the said update is available right now for PC via Steam).

After jumping around in time, you’re now tasked with travelling back to the present day to squash the Murkor threat once and for all! With seven more unique missions and the final boss, the NegaMurk, gear up for the most complete ‘Die After Sunset’ experience yet!

Die After Sunset is a third-person person rogue-lite with a unique light and darkness mechanic; enemies get stronger in the shadows! In a race against the inevitable sunset, it’s up to you to tool up with an astonishing array of items, gadgets and weapons to help you take down colossal Murkor bosses! Remember, death is not the end – for every defeat will only make you stronger. Collect Mukus from the fallen Murkors and cash it in back at base to empower yourself for your next run!

The Final Level – New Missions – New Murkor – Fixes – Item Balancing
Go head-to-head with NegaMurk – the alien creature that is responsible for the attack on Earth – and destroy the Murkors once and for all in this final mission! Take on the game’s biggest boss yet in a brand new level that’ll test your skills to the limits. Explore the evil MegaNurk’s secret base packed full of hidden tunnels, rotting forests and strange Murkor experiments…

To make matters worse, a brand new Murkor type plagues the map. Luckily, you’ll have seven brand new missions to power yourself up and help tackle this new infestation! Alongside a bunch of new items, gear up and get ready for the fight of your life!

The year is 2120. An alien race referred to as the ‘Murkors’ have invaded every corner of Earth with their unrivalled power and… rubber duck hats. The resistance holds out to prevent the extinction of humanity, but not for long. It’s up to you as a defender of earth to level up and take on the Murkor hordes… before the sun sets.

No run is ever the same in this action-packed, adrenaline-fueled roguelite shooter. Start in a new location every time you play, complete randomised quests, make yourself stronger with items you collect and take on gigantic bosses at the end of each level.

Pick between three vastly distinctive characters to start your run with. Each character comes equipped with a standard primary weapon and special attack. Choose wisely between sharp-shooter April, half-man-half-cyborg, machine-gun wielding Rido and… Hune, a Murkor experiment gone wrong.

You will be met with Murkors shortly after spawning into Waikiki Beach. Be alert, defender… and FIGHT IN THE LIGHT. Murkors draw their power from the shadows, growing in size and strength. Strategically position yourself so the sun is always beaming down on you, and your enemies.

Open chests and complete missions to power up and equip new weapons. Collect as much as you can before the sun sets to give you the best possible chance in fighting Murkor bosses. Items can give you anything from the ability to double jump, to a weapon like the refreshing ray!

Collect ‘Mukus’ dropped by Murkors as they are defeated – this will become the currency you can bank. With ‘Mucus’ in the bank you can progress level-trees and make yourself stronger on every run.
