The South American indie games studio Barbaric Games are today very proud and happy to announce that their roguelike deckbuilder, ‘Bearly Brave’, is coming to PC via Steam on December 15th, 2025.

Step into this deceptively charming toy shop where teddy bears aren’t as soft and fluffy as you might think. Get ready to craft your deck from 110 different cards, and take on the bosses in this nightmarish toy shop tournament. Will you be able to crush your foes with devastating combos and deadly deck builds? Or will you wind up as spare fluff swept under the rug?

Welcome to Bearly Brave, a roguelike deckbuilder where teddy bears battle for shelf space each night. Play as Toby, a timid plushie with big dreams and even bigger fears, as he fights through a ruthless tournament in a toy store filled with twisted, unhinged competitors, all determined to scatter your stuffing across the store.

Inspired by genre favorites like Balatro and Slay the Spire, Bearly Brave puts a fresh spin on deckbuilding with high-stakes one-turn combos, collectible patches, and tactical strategy. Card placement shapes your entire turn, and matching Brands unlock devastating effects and high-damage payoffs. Begin with a starter deck of 10 cards, pair deadly card combinations, and create synergies in your deck to deal amplified damage. Featuring fast runs, permanent death, and countless synergies, Bearly Brave offers high replayability for everyone.

Master the Combo System & Adapt to Ruthless Enemies

Players can arrange one combo per round, paying close attention to card energy costs and their total energy limit. Build powerful combos by playing weapon and skill cards together. Match Brands to trigger bonus effects like extra damage, energy, defense, or buttons. Position matters; reorder your cards to maximize their impact, balance their effects, and discard wisely to find that one missing piece. Every turn is a puzzle with explosive potential.

Each boss in Bearly Brave comes with unique mechanics that force you to rethink your strategy. They might add negative cards to your deck, amplify their own attacks, or disrupt your deck in unexpected ways. No two fights feel the same. Stay alert, adjust your build, and fight back with style.

With hundreds of synergies and card modifiers to discover, no two runs are ever the same. Bearly Brave offers high replayability—and for those who crave pure madness, Endless Mode lets you chase record-breaking damage and combo chains that spiral completely out of control. As you progress, unlock new cards and upgrades that create fresh synergies for future runs. Between battles, visit Grimble’s Shop to trade buttons from defeated enemies for weapons, patches, and candies. These items can be combined to snowball into massive one-shot damage numbers.
