The independent game studio Not a Duck are today very happy and excited to announce that their charming RTS-inspired autobattler “Beyond the Grove“, is coming to PC via Steam Early Access on November 4th, 2025.

That’s right! Because after placing 2nd in the Most Promising Category at this summer’s Game Development World Championship, “Beyond the Grove” is ready to deliver. Players can gather their fungi forces and craft their gargantuan Golems for the war to save their grove and beyond on November 4th!

You have all of Steam Next Fest to enjoy Beyond the Grove, but then you’ll need to get ready for even more mushroom mayhem as this RTS-inspired autobattler enters Early Access.

In Beyond the Grove, you play as a Grove Keeper who must venture forth from your grove to face a mysterious corruption head-on. Command your mushroom army, supplement them with mighty Golems and Blessings, and strategize how you’ll send your warriors into battle. Overcoming and adapting is the key to outsmarting whatever corruption throws your way.

Key features:

Strategic Combat: Strategize your army to maximize your victory. Place down rally markers, create Golems, and watch them get to work. Outsmart your enemies whenever you get the chance to adjust your troops’ positioning and composition.

Golem Crafting: You won’t get far in Beyond the Grove without your Golems. There are over 50 distinct Golems, forged by combining seven elemental types. Different combinations are a must to overcome the corruption.
Retreat and Grow: Blessings are powerful traits that enhance the abilities of your troops. With over 100 of them available, you’ll need to use them wisely if you find yourself facing defeat. Regroup after upgrading and coming up with a new gameplan so that you can continue the fight!
