The Las Cruces-based (New Mexico, the US) indie games developer Ganymede Games, are today very pleased and excited to announce that they have just released a brand-new demo for their upcoming sci-fi story-driven card/turn-based RPG “Xenotheria” (the said demo is available right now for PC via Steam).

Furthermore, Ganymede Games have also just announced that “Xenotheria” will launch for PC via Steam this year (2023). So keep your eyes and ears open for it!

“Xenotheria” invites players to experience something new to the deckbuilding genre: the combination of classic deck-building mechanics with a unique story-rich single-player campaign. Gather your party, build the perfect deck and see if you have what it takes to save the planet!

In Xenotheria, players will be venturing onto a frontier mining planet called Wolf Prime. After a mysterious force starts to pull spaceships from the sky, this previously peaceful planet becomes littered with death and destruction. Players jump into the shoes of Squig, a Wolf Prime denizen and shipyard worker who, with his closest friend Norton, embarks on a journey to uncover the mystery behind this sudden cataclysm.

Players will quickly find themselves exploring hostile locations filled with a variety of enemies. Mastering the game’s combat and deck building systems will be imperative to protecting Squig and his comrades. Xenotheria features party-based positional combat, which means that each character’s placement on the playing field is a critical gameplay component.

The more players explore, the more allies they’ll recruit. Each new ally brings their own cards, allowing players to diversify their deck and swap party members to maximize effectiveness against specific enemies.

Between battles, as players hunt for resources and new allies, they will also be unraveling the mystery of what has been happening to Wolf Prime. They will uncover the forgotten mythology of a dying alien species and attempt to save the planet from total annihilation.

Traverse the Planet: Explore a handcrafted world as you hunt for important resources, allies and answers to what is going on in the world. Explore striking and unique locations inhabited by both friendly and hostile species.
Craft Your Perfect Deck: Each character has a unique set of cards available for use during combat. Craft your own cards from resources you find during your missions. Enjoy the freedom and control over your unique play style.
Solve an Ancient Enigma: Adventure through hidden ruins and uncover the forgotten mythology of a dying alien species. With courage and tenacity, you might solve the mystery in time to save the planet from total annihilation.
