Stuttgart, 11th June, 2026: ININ Games is pleased to announce that pre-orders for Apidya’ Special are now officially open. Developed by Team Apidya, the modern revival of the beloved shoot-’em-up classic will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on August 25, 2026.

To celebrate the start of pre-orders, ININ Games has released a brand-new trailer showcasing the game’s vibrant action and revealing the physical editions that will be available alongside the digital release.

Originally released as one of the most distinctive shoot-’em-ups of the 16-bit era, Apidya earned cult status through its unique insect-themed fantasy world, challenging gameplay, and unforgettable soundtrack. Apidya’ Special brings this legendary experience to modern platforms while preserving the spirit that made the original a fan favorite.

Physical Editions Revealed

Collectors and long-time fans can look forward to two exclusive physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The Limited Edition offers a premium boxed version of Apidya’ Special for players who want to add this iconic title to their collection.

For dedicated fans, the Special Edition includes an extensive package of exclusive content, highlighted by a comprehensive History Artbook documenting the legacy and development of Apidya and an Official Soundtrack Collection by legendary composer Chris Hülsbeck.
