Stuttgart, 25 August 2026: Apidya’ Special is available now, digitally, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The modern remake of the classic Amiga shoot-’em-up, developed by Team Apidya, brings the legendary insect-themed action to modern platforms.

First released in 1992, Apidya has earned a devoted following through its insect-themed fantasy world, challenging difficulty, and a soundtrack that fans still talk about today. Apidya’ Special rebuilds that experience from the ground up for modern platforms, keeping the tone and challenge that turned it into an Amiga cult favourite.

Team Apidya will be on-site at Gamescom 2026, running August 26–30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, to meet fans and celebrate the launch of Apidya’ Special. Visitors can find the team in the retro area, Hall 10.2, Booth 6-8, throughout the show. Come and say hi by the booth for small goodies while supplies last.
