Powered by Apple’s ARKit – and heading to Android in the near future – The Ancients AR tasks players with commanding a fleet of powerful warships in larger-than-life, full-scale sea battles that must be seen to be believed. So Immersion is very happy to announce that their stunning strategy game “The Ancients AR” is now available for iOS devices.

Immersion is also working on a VR version of The Ancients in cooperation with HTC Vive. In this version of the game, players will be able to take on the point-of-view of the Ancients themselves! Once the VR release is out, The Ancients will be one of the first franchises with titles available for both VR and AR.

Behold the mighty Ancients: gigantic creatures able to cast lightning bolts, fireballs – and even summon a fire-spitting dragon! When all seems lost, the Ancients are called upon to defend the fleet and unleash hell on the battlefield …

The Ancients AR is a collaboration between Immersion CEO Piotr Baczyński and visionary artist Jakub Różalski, who worked together to capture Jakub’s vision of an immersive fantasy world where magic is alive and sea battles take place right in front of players. Jakub is known for his work on the World of 1920+ series and concept art for films such as Kong: Skull Island.
