Amsterdam, The Netherlands – November 6, 2025 – KRAFTON, Inc. and solo Australian developer James Bendon today announced that ‘Dinkum’, the beloved survival life simulation game inspired by the Australian outback, is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.

Following its acclaimed PC release, Dinkum brings its cosy, open-ended island adventure to a new audience of players eager to build, farm, and explore their own slice of the outback — now from anywhere.

A COSY SURVIVAL SIM, NOW ON SWITCH
Dinkum invites players to build a life in the Australian-inspired bush, where every day offers something new to discover. Players can establish and customise their own settlement, transforming a patch of wilderness into a thriving town surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests, and sun-soaked beaches.

Whether farming crops, raising animals, fishing the rivers, or mining deep underground, Dinkum offers a blend of relaxing life-sim progression and light survival gameplay that rewards creativity and curiosity. Players can also explore the island’s many biomes, uncover secrets, and befriend colorful townsfolk who bring life and character to their growing community.

The Nintendo Switch version includes optimised controls, redesigned UI and UX for handheld play, and smooth performance in both handheld and docked modes. Players can enjoy the full experience in local or online multiplayer, building and exploring together across the outback. A free demo is also available on the Nintendo eShop for players eager to start their outback adventure.

FROM INDIE GEM TO GLOBAL SUCCESS
Developed by solo creator James Bendon, Dinkum first launched in Steam Early Access in July 2022 before reaching its 1.0 release in April 2025. Since then, the game has sold more than 1.4 million copies worldwide and holds a “Very Positive” 92% rating on Steam, a testament to its charm, depth, and dedicated global community.

Dinkum was also recently nominated for “Best Multiplayer Game” at the 2025 Unity Awards, recognising outstanding Unity-powered games from around the world.

Dinkum is available now on the Nintendo eShop, with a free demo for players ready to begin their outback adventure. Physical editions of Dinkum will also roll out in select regions following the digital release at a later date.
