Tuesday, 16th June 2020 – Team17 is celebrating the Steam Summer Festival with the launch of an online co-operative demo for “The Survivalists“, the upcoming entry in The Escapists universe that sees players stranded on an island and tasked with staying alive in the harsh and procedurally generated wilderness.

The demo, which is available to play until 12.00pm BST on 26th June, lets up to four players team up on a tropical paradise to hunt, craft, explore… and survive.

The demo showcases some of the key gameplay elements of The Survivalists ahead of its launch on PC and consoles later this year, including crafting, building, combat, and of course monkey training.

Key Features:

Co-op Survival: Up to four players can join forces to explore the world of The Survivalists, helping each other out to stay alive
Crafting & Building: Various items great and small can be crafted in the demo, from weapons to tools and buildings to keep your crew sheltered
Monkeys Galore: Enlist the help of monkeys for a number of tasks, including protecting your group and plundering resources
Curiosity is rewarded: Players are encouraged to explore their surroundings, where they’ll encounter dangerous wildlife, mythical enemies, and tantalising secrets
