MINI-MECH MAYHEM BLASTS ONTO PLAYSTATION VR Q1 2019.

Press release:
The Studio behind the critically acclaimed shooter Velocity 2X reveals new table-top VR battle game dubbed ‘That holographic chess game in Star Wars with some Hearthstone-Lite mixed in? Yep!’

Brighton, United Kingdom, December 8th, 2018: Award-winning Brighton-based studio FuturLab has revealed Mini-Mech Mayhem, a deeply funny tabletop battle game for PlayStation VR aka ‘Chess, but loads funnier’.

Set for release early next year, Mini-Mech Mayhem is a hilarious tabletop battle game, which sees players take the form of robot avatars partnered with cute little mechs to battle opponents as a team.

Join your lil’ Mech buddy to plan a flawless strategy, then marvel at just how wrong you were!

Not to worry, play some power cards to get your team back on track, or dare to trust in your instincts and crafty skills, and pull off a stunning win!

Boasting online multiplayer functionality for up to four players, Mini-Mech Mayhem has a highly accessible strategy component with deeper underlying mechanics and heart-warming humour at its core.

Free chat with social comfort features, combined with huge customisation options for both mech and avatar, mean that players can present themselves how they wish in a safe and pleasant VR environment.

Music is produced by leading video game composer Joris de Man, whose previous work includes Horizon: Zero Dawn, Killzone and FuturLab’s own Velocity 2X.

“We’re delighted to finally reveal Mini-Mech Mayhem – we’ve made a bunch of very fun games in the past, but we’ve never really made a funny game. This is hilarious and should appeal to anyone that enjoys a tabletop game night with their friends, only now they can play together remotely in VR!” said FuturLab MD James Marsden.
