The Brooklyn-based (New York, the US) indie games developer Cosmo D Studios today announced with great delight and excitement that their tabletop-inspired adventure/RPG “Betrayal At Club Low”, is now available for PC via Steam.

A 10% discount is available during launch week, after which the game will return to its regular full price of $9.99 / £7.19. Additionally, a demo is also available for those who wish to sample a slice of the title.

Set in Cosmo D’s critically-acclaimed and award-winning ‘Off-Peak’ universe, Betrayal At Club Low sees players on a rescue mission to infiltrate the inimitable, titular Club Low. This former coffin factory-turned-nightclub is a beacon of nocturnal energy, a haven for wild-limbed dancing, mind-altering music and shady characters aplenty. It’s a deceptively dangerous place that rewards the curious, the bold and the whimsical.

Inspired by punchy, independent zine RPGs, Betrayal At Club Low evokes the feel of a one-shot tabletop session. Using tactile dice-driven gameplay, players will experience a highly-reactive narrative loaded with tense decisions and surprising twists at every turn. There are multiple ways to approach the mission, with each subsequent choice leading to one of eleven possible outcomes.

About Cosmo D
Cosmo D is a game designer based in New York City, with a background in cello performance and music composition. One rainy night in June 2013, he was struck by a car while crossing the street and found himself unable to play or make music for several months. While convalescing, he took it upon himself to learn the Unity Engine. The result was Off-Peak, released in 2015. A homage to Cosmo D’s home city of New York, as well as a commentary on the commodification of art and music in the urban space, Off-Peak gained a cult following, with hordes of press nods, let’s plays on YouTube, and a fanbase eagerly awaiting the follow-up.

With assistance from NYU Game Center’s Incubator program, publisher Alliance Digital Media, as well as the New York game development scene at large, Cosmo D released a sequel, The Norwood Suite, in October 2017. Building on the momentum from this release Cosmo D released Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 in Spring of 2020, and is set to release Betrayal at Club Low in Fall 2022.
