Press release:
Armor Games Studios unveils a new trailer for Vladimir Fedyushkin and Nicolai Danielsen’s upcoming shooter – a combination of frenetic action and tactical tinkering!
Developers Vladimir Fedyushkin and Nicolai Danielsen, alongside publisher Armor Games Studios, today reveal that “Jet Lancer” – a fusion of over-the-top action and intricate tactical tinkering – is set to release via Steam this Summer.
Celebrating the news is a brand new trailer, which showcases the game’s detailed pixel art aesthetic as well as its action-packed gameplay.
Jet Lancer is a frenetic aerial dog-fighting game where you hunt enemy pilots, carve up giant robots, and defy death at supersonic speeds as a daring mercenary in the far future.
On the surface a bombastic bullet hell shooter, Jet Lancer sets itself apart with a deep upgrades system that encourages learning, experimentation, and tactical decision-making – meaning players will have to balance risk and reward in order to progress deeper into the game.
With a variety of armaments and upgrades to equip, you’ll find the most effective ways hunt the deadliest prey the world has ever seen: giant killer robots.
Across multiple game modes – including a lethal New Game Plus and a story-driven single-player campaign – players will dominate the skies with tight and responsive controls. With a sky-high skill ceiling, there’s always something new to learn, and always new ideas to experiment with.
Game designer Vladimir Fedyushkin said:
“Making Jet Lancer has felt like a journey into and uncharted territory of game design.
Trying to create a modern arcade re-imagining of the classic 2D flight simulator genre required constantly inventing new approaches – and it’s been great fun taking on this challenge”
Justin Ramos, VP of Operations and Strategy at Armor Games Studios, added:
“What drew us to Jet Lancer was its frenzied play, but once we spent more time with it we realized we had something far more special — a talented development team that understood how to make an experience that makes you feel like a badass ACE pilot, and rewards you for taking bold risks against overwhelming odds.”
Jet Lancer will be released for PC via Steam this Summer.
