COLOGNE, Germany – August 25, 2026 – NC (formerly NCSOFT) unveiled today the official title Like or Die, formerly known as Project Bonfire, and showcased a new trailer during Opening Night Live (ONL), gamescom’s official opening-night showcase.

Currently in development, Like or Die is a next-generation team-based survival shooter that places players in the role of streamers broadcasting their matches across the cosmic streaming platform, “Quaya Stream.” Teams must work together to gather resources and reshape the battlefield with blocks, outlasting their opponents to become the final surviving squad.

The ONL trailer revealed Like or Die’s gameplay features, including the game’s innovative Block Action system, which allows players to create structures and reshape the battlefield in real time. Teams use their blocks to strategically create opportunities to dramatically shift the momentum of a match and destroy the opponent’s “Nexus.” Additional game updates, including the release date, will be announced at a later date.
